An art-science collaboration between Sharada Srinivasan (Bharata Natyam dancer and Associate Professor, NIAS, Bangalore, India) and the team of K. Danse, France of Jean-Marc Matos and Anne Holst) on the crossed theme: mythology of the body/mythology of stars.
The event, taking place October 17 at the Cité de l’Espace, Toulouse from 2 :30 pm until 5 :00 pm, offers: 1/ a related photo, video and musical exhibition, 2/ an internet-streamed simultaneous east-west dance fusion performance across the venues of Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) (CREST), Hoskote, and Cité De L’Espace, Toulouse by Sharada Srinivasan and Anusha Emrith, 3/ discussions between Indian and French astrophysicists, also in relation to Prof. Sharada Srinivasan’s researches linking the Nataraja imagery to stellar observations and also connections between astronomical traditions in the Orient and West including India and Egypt.
