CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – “AEPYDEA” PROJECT
“Artistic Educational Program for Young and Developing European Artists”

We are thrilled to announce an open call for applications to an exciting 26-day educational program designed for emerging artists from across Europe. Co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme under the European Cooperation projects program, the Educational Program for Young and Developing European Artists aims to help shape the next generation of artists by helping them develop their skills, knowledge and talent. The project will take place in Bulgaria (close to the capital Sofia) and invites young and developing authors, artists, creative technologists, and performers to embark on a transformative creative journey.

The project will be led by a team of educators and mentors from across Europe, that includes internationally recognized professionals and teachers. The educational program will be designed to break down traditional silos between dance, theatre, and digital arts. It will encourage collaboration and cross-disciplinary learning to foster a holistic understanding of the performing arts.

We are offering a total of 50 available positions for participants, with 25 scholarships set aside for exceptional applicants selected on the basis of merit. The scholarships will be awarded according to a variety of criteria, including the applicant’s level of motivation, relevant experience, and the potential contribution they can make to the arts community. For individuals who are not awarded scholarships, the full cost to participate in the program is 1,500 Euro. Dead line for the application: January 30.

Dates: The Artistic Educational Program will start on June 15th, 2025 and finish on July 10th, 2025.

Practical Information:

Some information is clearly stated in the call for applications:

  • The program lasts 26 days.

  • The age range should not be an issue at this stage, as it depends on the artists’ level of development. The program is not only for “young artists” but rather for “emerging artists.”

  • €1500 is indeed a significant investment. However, workshops have been seen charging €800 for 7 to 10 days without accommodation. Additionally, scholarship programs are available.

  • The cost includes accommodation, meals, and the work program. Travel to and from Bulgaria is the responsibility of the participants. Currently, the organizers are looking for options to transport all participants from Sofia to Kyustendil at their own expense, meaning participants would only need to cover their travel to Sofia.

  • Accommodation will be in double rooms.

  • Accommodation is included in the total EU budget.

  • At the end of January, candidates will receive an invitation for an interview. After the interviews (scheduled for the end of February), they will receive final confirmation. (This is also stated in the call.)

  • There are plans for 8 hours of work per day, covering a total of 4 subjects. This has not yet been finalized.

Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer l’appel à candidatures pour un programme éducatif passionnant de 26 jours, conçu pour les artistes émergents de toute l’Europe. Cofinancé par le programme Europe Créative dans le cadre des projets de coopération européenne, le Programme Éducatif pour Jeunes et Nouveaux Artistes Européens vise à façonner la prochaine génération d’artistes en les aidant à développer leurs compétences, leurs connaissances et leur talent. Le projet se déroulera en Bulgarie (près de la capitale Sofia) et invite de jeunes auteurs, artistes, techniciens créatifs et interprètes en devenir à entreprendre un voyage créatif transformateur.

Le programme éducatif est conçu pour briser les barrières traditionnelles entre la danse, le théâtre et les arts numériques. Il encourage la collaboration et l’apprentissage interdisciplinaire afin de promouvoir une compréhension globale des arts de la scène.

Nous proposons un total de 50 places pour les participants, dont 25 bourses réservées à des candidats exceptionnels sélectionnés sur la base du mérite. Les bourses seront attribuées selon divers critères, notamment le niveau de motivation du.de la candidat.e, son expérience pertinente et sa contribution potentielle à la communauté artistique.
Pour les personnes qui ne bénéficieront pas d’une bourse, le coût total de participation au programme s’élève à 1 500 euros.
